We are looking for a support worker to support our client, a young man living in a family home who has cerebral palsy, learning difficulties and severe epilepsy, living in a village near Wisbech/ Kings Lynn. He is non-verbal and a full-time wheelchair user, hoisted for all transfers.
He loves music, going out in the community, and to have lots of fun. He requires 2:1 support and has 24-hour care. We are looking for fun, organised, and reliable support workers who have a positive mindset and a great sense of humour to support him with his needs. He attends a day centre 4 days a week, so the shifts are varied.
We will consider applicants who are new to care as we offer a full induction and training.
Requirements:
- A full driving licence is essential
- Flexibility to work a rota of different shifts
- Ideally previous experience working with clients with epilepsy and learning difficulties, but this is not essential as we offer full training.
Working Hours:
30 Hours per week
Shifts will vary;
4-8pm, 8-8pm, 8pm-8am
Sleep in – 10pm-8am
We are also looking for bank staff.
Pay Rates:
Monday-Friday: £15.00 per hour
Saturday-Sunday: £17.00 per hour
